End of the Silent Films

I didn't know what to expect when I came home after being away for 10 days. I talked to Ry a few times on the phone when I was in Taiwan. Each time he was sufficiently distracted by Papa and Nana who stayed at our house to help Hickory for most of the week that our "conversation" didn't last for more than a few seconds. I thought that was a good thing. Ryland seemed to have a blast with his grandparents around.

On Sunday I came home to a little talking machine that was a couple of inches taller than I remembered. Ryland greeted me with a big smile when I walked through the kitchen door. Since then he has been a little more clingy than usual. Ry was taking an afternoon nap when I left to catch the flight to Taiwan so I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I think he is just making sure that I don't disappear again!

So our home videos have finally come out of the silent film era. Ry has been talking non-stop, without prompting, all the time since my return. Unfortunately, a good footage doesn't always happen when the good camera is around. I shot this one with my Motorola Droid smart phone, which had a little trouble synchronizing the audio with the video.
